Doha: Richard D’Souza Elected as New President of MCC

Doha, July 7: Richard D Souza has been elected as the president of Mangalore Cricket Club in Doha, during its 17th Annual General Body Meeting held here at Doha by Mangalore Cricket Club. 

 

A release here said that the election was conducted to fill the new office bearers for the next two years. Long serving members Richard D Souza (Derebail-Madanthyar) and Sunil D Silva (Kulshekar) were elected unanimously as President and vice president respectively.

On the occasion, Shalini Monteiro (Mumbai) was elected as Joint Secretary, Frederick D Souza ( Shirthady) as Sports Secretary, Prashant D Silva (Derebail) as treasurer were also elected unanimously. Glen Carlo (Kulshekar-Shaktinagar) was nominated as cultural secretary, Ronald Rodrigues (Valenica) as membership secretary, were also were nominated to the committee.

MCC has a rich history of 17 years and basks with an all active membership of more than 300 families and maintains its growth of more than 20% per year in all spheres.

Senior member Henry D Souza was the election officer.  Outgoing cultural secretary Reena Castelino compered the programme, releases ads.
