Kuwait May 20, 2011: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA), premiere Mangalorean Catholic Association in Kuwait successfully held First Holy Communion party of its members’ children for the fifth year on Friday 13th May ‘11. The celebration was held at Al-Farha hall, Salmiya from 7:00 pm onwards.

Five of member’s children participated in the community celebration of their First communion with KCWA along with over 400 guests. The participating children are Rebecca D’Souza, Lavita Cutinha, Leiton Pinto, Astrel Menezes and Jocelyn Veigas. After the general welcome by MC, all the communion children walked in with a procession and cut the cake together after the prayer & hymn session.


 
President Stephen Machado welcomes all the guests. Fr.Blany Pinto, Parish Priest of St. Therese Parish, Salmiya proposed the toast and congratulated and blessed all the First Communion recipients. On behalf of parents Jossie Pinto replied to the toast and thanked KCWA for organizing such a wonderful celebration. Visiting priest Fr. Albert Lewis presented mementos to children on behalf of KCWA.

 

 

 


 


Various games for children & adults were organized along with lots of spot prizes. Sunitha D’Silva compered the event to perfection and Dr. Manohar Prabhu conducted the games.


All the guests enjoyed the scintillating music of popular DJ Spinners (Sudhi Fronteiro) as they danced their hearts out. Kiran, Joylin & Lancy joined in for some live singing.


Snacks, Refreshments and delicious dinner were served to all by M&M Confectionery & Restaurant. The well organized party was concluded at 11:00 pm with a baila session and singing of Laudate. Praveen Menezes coordinated the whole event.
