KCO organizes fund raiser event Fiesta 2011

Abu Dhabi, May 28: KCO organized Fiesta 2011, a fund raiser event, on May 27, Friday at the Abu Dhabi Country Club. It was a roaring success and the venue was packed with people who had come to participate in the day-long event.

The event commenced at 11:10 a.m. with a prayer song and the KCO’s theme song by the members of the KCO. The comperer of the event was Leslie Rego, and the event comprised songs, music, and dance.


The show commenced with Kenny singing popular numbers such as Bombil Mary and Kurlyo and drawing the audience to the dance floor. Ester, the rising young star from Mangalore, sang melodious numbers “Mog” and Dees Budthana.” The Goan band Lynx presented a wide range of lively numbers, drawing people in large numbers to the dance floor. They sang popular numbers in Hindi, English, and Konkani.


Ester also performed a Bharathanatyam dance before the audience.


Kenny also presented numbers titled Zubi Zubi, Musumbi Lila, Any Size and many more. Ester presented songs such as Ugdas, Chedu Bombaichem, Tuzo Mog, Bara Sorun, Dariachya Larani, Lambada, Phalie, Ramo Ho, Piti Piti, and Mysterious Girl, much to the delight of the audience.


KCO President delivered the welcome address, spoke on the philanthropic activities of KCO, and thanked sponsors for their tremendous support. He also expressed his gratitude to the audience and KCO members for assisting in organizing an event of this proportion. The various sponsors, comperers, artistes, sound engineers, and well wishers were also honored on the occasion.


The event included a sumptuous lunch, plenty of spot prizes, novelty dance, raffle draws, and much more. The climax of the day was the Baila. The event concluded at 6:30 p.m.
