Hospitality Division of Thumbay Group bags all major honors in Thumbay Olympics Cup

Ajmal  Dec 18, 2014: Thumbay Group Human Resource department organized ‘Thumbay Olympics’ from 7-11 December 2014. Over 1000 Thumbay group employees participated in Throw Ball, Lawn Tennis, Swimming, 100 meters Race, 400 meter Relay, Table Tennis, Badminton, Squash, Football, Cricket, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Tug of War, and a friendly Kabaddi Match.14 different sports were facilitated with more than 145 successive events conducted at GMU sport ground and Body & Soul. More than 1000 man heads participated in successive events.

Prof. Gita Ashok Raj Provost Gulf Medical University inaugurated the event and flagged off the parade by all participating teams. She also revealed the Thumbay Olympics Cup in the presence of Mr. Akbar Moideen Thumbay, Director Operations Healthcare and Retail, Thumbay Group.

Founder President of Thumbay Group Mr. Thumbay Moideen distributed the prizes in a specially organized function. Speaking on the occasion he appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the employees, irrespective of their rank in the organization.

He encouraged them with his inspiring words. He said that he can foresee tremendous growth in the organization in the years to come. He thanked everyone for being loyal to the company.  He connected with employees by understanding the strengths and motivations of each team member;and said that their strong relationships build trust and create engagement in the workplace.
