Kuwait,08 December 2011: Praising the affords of the Konkani Catholic Community who contributed and came forward to sponsor the event with their open big heartedness, the faithful attended the two Konkani Eucharistic services.  This special services to praise The Almighty brought in abundant  happiness and joy on the countenance of the simple people in their weekly visit and dedication to prayers and Blessings at the Holy Family Cathedral.

 

 

 

 

 The Konkani Catholic Community celebrated the annual Feast of Saint Francis Xavier which was concelebrated by Fr. Noel Almeida, the assistant parish priest at Our Lady of Arabia church, Ahmadi, Fr. Gaspar Fernandes, parish priest of Holy Family Cathedral, and the main celebrant being the visiting Goan capuchin priest Fr. Nicolau Rodrigues.  Unity, respect for one another, forgiveness and seeing goodness in others, and family togetherness was the highlight of the sermon message by Fr. Rodrigues.

 The event together with the festivity and the exchange of greetings and the food stalls were the hallmark of this feast which was jointly organized by a number of Mangalorean and Goan organizations together with prominent individuals and their families.  Since 2010 this event has been one of the principal activities of the Konkani Catholic Community in Kuwait and all involved have endeavoured to continue this rich annual tradition of thanksgiving, unity and friendship for the coming years.
