The talk was targeted to the middle aged group (45 to 65 years) and was titled "Care of Health for the Middle Aged". In addition to briefing the audience about the prevalent diseases afflicting people in today’s world and lifestyle, Dr Edward in his unique and humorous style, emphasized the need to undergo regular medical checkups. He also explained the benefits of exercise, especially for people over 40 years. He recommended a daily walk of at least 30 minutes and termed walking as the ‘king of all exercises’.
The talk was followed by a Question and Answer session.
It was very evident by the participation and interest shown by the 75 odd audience members who had gathered to listen to the talk that the topic appeared to be the need of the hour. And listening to Dr Edward’s talk was a reminder for us to slow down our pace of life and take a look at our lifestyle.
Sunil D Silva, Vice President of the club, proposed the vote of thanks.
MCC takes this opportunity to thank Dr Edward Nazareth for his enlightening talk and for spending an evening briefing the community members about Care of Health for the Middle Aged.
