Dubai, 14 Jan 2014: A warm welcome was showered on the visiting Star of Tollywood, Anushka Shetty (Sweety Shetty) at  Rakesh Malli’s ’Spice & Flavours’ Indian Restaurant in Sea View Hotel, Mina Road, Dubai today at 8.30 PM.
 
Fans and well wishes along with media were already present at 7 PM awaiting to see a glimpse of the star who arrived with her parents, Vittal Shetty & Prafulla Shetty.  She was greeted with flower bouquet by Rakesh Malli along with her Parents.  Soon there were photo sessions by the fans  one after other clicking in camera as well as mobiles.  Fan followers from Andhra, Tamil Nadu & Karnataka origin arrived to greet and have pictures with their star.

Anushka made her debut in the 2005 Telugu film Super and rose to fame in Vikramarkudu (2006) which became her first commercial success. She made her debut in Tamil cinema with Rendu (2006).  She received high critical acclaim for her portrayal of the titular character in Arundhati (2009), She acted as Saroja in Vedam (2010),which fetched her two Filmfare, one Nandi and two CineMAA Awards. In the 2010s, She also achieved success in Tamil cinema; the action-masala flick Singam (2010), and its sequel Singam II (2013) which was a big commercial successes, while her performances in Vaanam (2011) and Deiva Thirumagal (2011) won her critical praise.

Her films include Mahanandi, Vikramarkudu,  Astram, Rendu, Stalin. Lakshyam  Don, Okka Magaadu, Swagatam,  Baladur,  Souryam, Arundhati. Billa, Vettaikkaran, Vedam, Vaanam,Panchakshari, Khaleja, Nagavalli, Kedi, Thakita Thakita, Singam, Deiva Thirumagal, Thaandavam, Dhamarukam, Alex Pandian, Mirchi, Singam II, Irandam Ulagam  Rani Rudrama Devi, and a trilingual Baahubali, which is reported to be the most costliest Telugu film.
 
Sumptuous Buffet Dinner was arranged to all those who arrived who savored before leaving.
