Ajman,Oct 29,2016:United Arab Emirates:Continuing to celebrate the hard work, determination and success of Gulf Medical University (GMU) graduates, the university will host a GMU ANNUAL GLOBAL ALUMNI SUMMIT (2016) in Ajman Saray Hotel on November 6th, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. to1:30 p.m.

The event, which aims to build deeper relationships and foster alumni engagement, will have a panel discussion on From Success to Significance to share the student’s journey from GMU to the global arena. Selected alumni will share their success stories, challenges they faced along the journey and about their highest achievements and guide the present students to achieve similar success.

The guest of honor His Highness Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman will awarddistinguished contributions of GMU students in categories like academics, government service, corporate service and entrepreneurship.

Over 200 alumni from USA, UK, France, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and UAE have confirmed their participation.“We are proud to see their professional achievements and growth after graduating from the Gulf Medical University,” said Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost of GMU. “We are looking forward to meeting and interacting with them. These alumni meets help to develop a sense of how well the institution has grown, harvesting a deep sense of satisfaction about being a part of, and a reason for the continuing growth story of their alma mater,” she added.

The alumni summit will strengthen relation between the university and its graduates, who have excelled in their careers, and to assure them of complete support and encouragement in their future endeavors. “Their success is our success,” saidThumbayMoideen, Founder President and Chairman of Board of Governors, GMU-who initiated the idea.

“The institution is looking forward to develop a synergy to involve the alumni to benefit the current batches of students. Alumni play an important role in the development of the institution and we recognize their achievements. We would also like to launch a start-up initiative during the summit to offer opportunities for our alumni in their entrepreneurship. Details of this initiative will be announced during the alumni summit,”Mr. Moideen added.

With over 1100 graduates, GMU Annual Global Alumni Summit will be an annual event to showcase recent and past successes of alumni, current students, and that of the University.
